Patron Services and Information
The Stephen Sondheim Center for the Performing Arts Ticket Office is located inside the Fairfield Arts and Convention Center lobby. Hours are 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and two hours prior to all performances. The ticketing fulfillment options include Ticket Office sales, telephone orders, online purchasing and print-at-home option. Tickets may be purchased online here until one hour before curtain of the particular performance. Tickets purchased online and over the phone may be picked up at the Ticket Office will call window at any time during Ticket Office hours or two hours prior to the performance.

Accessibility

The Fairfield Arts and Convention Center strives to make every accommodation possible available to guests needing accessible seating. Seating is limited and we encourage guests to make arrangements in advance. Contact the Stephen Sondheim Center for the Performing Arts Ticket Office to make arrangements. Please not there is not an elevator and it is a minimum of 20 steps to Zones 2, 3, or 4 in the theater. 641-472-2787

Arrival Time

Please arrive early out of respect for the performers and audience members. The Fairfield Arts and Convention Center will open two hours prior to curtain and the Sondheim Theater will open thirty minutes prior to curtain. Latecomers will be asked to wait in the lobby and will be ushered to their seats during an appropriate pause in the performance.
 

Animal Policy

No animals allowed except service animals.

Cameras

The use of cameras, both video and still, or any other recording device is prohibited.

Cellular Phones / Pagers

To eliminate disruptions by cellular phones and pagers, these devices should be turned off or turned to silent mode during all performances at the Sondheim Center.

Children

Children are welcome to attend performances at the Sondheim Theater. The Fairfield Arts & Convention Center does not censor performances nor make any guarantees of show content. We encourage parents to use their discretion when deciding if a show is appropriate for their child. Children under the age of four do not require a ticket if the child will be sitting with a guardian for the entire duration of the performance.

Dress Code

Guests often wear both formal and casual attire to attend performances at the Sondheim Theater, and all is welcome. Attire often varies by performance type.

Due to acoustical design of the heat and air conditioning system, cool breezes can sometimes be experienced during a show. Guests are welcome to bring a light jacket or sweater to help accommodate.

Exchanges / Refunds

If you are not a Fairfield Arts & Convention Center Donor, all ticket sales are final with no refunds or exchanges. Call the Ticket Office with questions on becoming a Donor and the other benefits that come with supporting the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center.

All ticket sales are final. There are no refunds except on shows that are cancelled and not rescheduled.

There is no compensation if you miss a performance or cannot attend a future performance you have already purchased tickets for.

Prices, dates, times, performers, and performances are subject to change at any time. Such changes do not dictate a refund or exchange unless authorized by the producer, promoter, or Fairfield Arts & Convention Center.

Special promotions and ticket offers are valid on new ticket purchases only. They are not valid on previously purchased tickets and there are no price adjustments after a sale.

Inclement weather happens and the safety of our guests is our top priority. However, performances are rarely cancelled due to weather. If you are concerned about attending a performance due to inclement weather, please call the Ticket Office at 641-472-2787.

First Aid

First aid supplies are available upon request. Please ask any usher or staff member for assistance.

Food and Beverages

A full beverage service and light snacks are available for purchase during intermissions at most events in the Atrium. Only bottled water is allowed inside the Sondheim Theater. Drinks are now allowed in the theater with our great non-spill cups! The Fairfield Arts and Convention Center is excited to partner with Hy-Vee to offer non-spill beverage cups available at the concession stand before performances and during intermission.

Give the Gift of Entertainment

Don't know what to get that special person? Give them a Fairfield Arts & Convention Center gift certificate. Gift certificates can be used during the Artist Series and all other performances and events. Lobby and Atrium

The Fairfield Arts and Convention Center Atrium and Sondheim Center lobby are open to the public during the regular business hours of 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Lost and Found

Please give all found items to ushers or staff. If you've lost an item, contact the Ticket Office for assistance. 641-472-2787

Payment Options

The Fairfield Arts and Convention Center gladly accepts cash, personal checks, VISA, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. Checks should be made payable to Fairfield Arts & Convention Center.

Re-Entry

If you leave the Sondheim Theater, please make sure to have your ticket with you.

Reserve the Fairfield Arts and Convention Center

Host your special event at the Fairfield Arts and Convention Center. The Lobby, Atrium, Expo Hall, Executive Conference Room, Dick and Judy Smith Event Room and Cambridge Investment Research Event Room are available for meetings, special events or entertaining. Restrooms

The restrooms are available in the atrium of the Fairfield Arts and Convention Center and are handicap accessible.

The staff and volunteers of the Fairfield Arts and Convention Center are always ready to serve and assist our patrons. Please let the Ticket Office staff know of your request when placing your ticket order.

Weather

In most cases, all shows will run as scheduled, regardless of weather. Any exception will be announced on the Fairfield Arts and Convention Center website and will be communicated via social media outlets.
