Rising star on the organ pipes, ROSS JALLO, currently pursuing his Doctorate of Musical Arts with Gregory Hand at the University of Iowa, is a regular recitalist both in the Midwest and Germany.
A graduate of Augustana and Notre Dame, he is fascinated by keyboard music in its historical context.
Recent organ recitals include performances at the Voxman School of Music (Iowa City), Trinity Cathedral (Davenport), Christ Church Cathedral (Eau Claire), the Cathedral Church of St. Paul (Des Moines), and the Michaeliskirche (Leipzig).
Ross was a finalist in the 2015 Immanuel Lutheran Organ Scholar Competition (Evanston, Illinois). Other musical interests include visiting historic organs (including trips to Germany, Austria, and Scandinavia), basso continuo (with recent performances including Purcell's Dido & Aeneas, Monteverdi's Vespers of 1610, and Vivaldi's Gloria) and early-seventeenth-century English sacred music.
