Burlesque to Broadway will sizzle at the Sondheim Center, Saturday, February 25 at 7:30 p.m. Burlesque to Broadway brings back the fun, excitement and gaiety of the Burlesque era featuring Broadway caliber performances with the fast paced sizzle of a Las Vegas production. Quinn Lemley brings to life the songs and music of characters from that gilden time when Mae West, Sally Rand and Gypsy Rose Lee were captivating audiences. The performance will take audiences back to the world of striptease artists and fan dancers.
This glamorous Vegas style production, complete with sequins, feathers and gorgeous girls, pays homage to the music, vaudeville humor and the world of burlesque and Broadway. Star of the critically acclaimed hit, The Heat is On! (Celebrating the life of Rita Hayworth), Quinn Lemley is an international favorite from New York's B.B. King Blues Club to The Half Note in Athens, Greece, where she was celebrated by the media as "The Iconic Face of The Half Note." She has performed on top television shows including "Good Morning America", and "Oprah" among others. Quinn will soon be seen along with Bette Midler and Nora Jones in the upcoming film release of The Greatest Ears in Town-The Arif Mardin Story.
