The Fairfield Municipal Band will be presenting a Christmas Concert on Monday, December 17, 2018 at 7:30 PM at the Sondheim Center. The concert is free and open to the public. Donations will be accepted to support the Municipal Band rehearsing at the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center.

Music for the Christmas concert includes sacred and secular songs of the season. You will hear traditional Christmas carols along with popular songs such as Manheim Steamroller's "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies", new pop music holiday hits such as arlen Love's "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)", and a trumpet solo "The Toy Trumpet" by Francis Thicke.

Donations accepted in appreciation for the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center's generosity in support of the Band's summer season. The Center has provided practice space for the past three years and opened the theater when heat and/or rain may have cancelled the outdoor concerts.

The band is made up of 45 members from Fairfield and surrounding communities and is under the direction of Jim Edgeton. The band performs during the summer with six outdoor concerts in Central Park. This holiday concert is the third to be presented by the community band.
