Cherish the Ladies, the beloved all-woman Irish music group, celebrates Celtic Christmas traditions with gorgeous harmonies, lovely instrumentation, and high-energy step-dancing in an evening of time-honored holiday songs and popular.

Taking their name from a traditional Irish jig, Cherish the Ladies, recognized as the first all-female Irish band, share timeless Irish traditions with audiences worldwide. With their unique spectacular blend of virtuous instrumental talents and captivating arrangements, this powerhouse group combines all the facets of Irish traditional culture and puts it forth in an immensely humorous and entertaining package. They're sure to warm your heart this holiday season.

In this program, the Ladies perform classic Christmas carols, in their signature arrangements highlighting unique Celtic instrumentation, beautiful harmonies and spectacular step-dancing. Traditional Irish melodies and carols like "The Holly and the Berry" and "The Wexford Carol" are interspersed with well-known Christmas carols including "O Come All Ye Faithful," "What Child Is This," "The Little Drummer Boy," "We Three Kings," "God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen," "Angels We Have Heard on High," "Silent Night" and "The First Noel."

All of the arrangements in this holiday show are made newly fresh by the use of the group's unique Celtic instrumentation (penny whistles, fiddles, accordion, concertina, piano, guitar, mandolin, banjo, flutes) and beautiful harmonies, and then heightened by the inclusion of world-class Irish step-dancing.

Cherish the Ladies have shared the stage with James Taylor, Joan Baez, Emmy Lou Harris and the Chieftains. The Celtic Album, collaboration with the Boston Pops Symphony, led to a 1999 Grammy Nomination. The group has recorded 10 acclaimed albums and appeared in the United States on "CBS This Morning," "Good Morning America," "Evening at Pops," C-SPAN, PBS and National Public Radio.
