Chamber Singers at Carnegie Hall

Gala Community Appreciation Event

Sondheim Center for the Performing Arts

Ticket Information

Free and open to the public

The Chamber Singers of Southeast Iowa welcome the Fairfield community to a gala celebration of the success of their Carnegie Hall debut in New York City. The evening will include a presentation of the highlights of their trip, a screening of the archival DVD of the Carnegie Hall concert, and a live performance by special guest artists Eugene Gaub on piano and Karen Aoki on flute, followed by a reception with refreshments.

Last June the Chamber Singers were invited by Distinguished Concerts International-New York to join other select choirs from Norway, Italy, the U.K., and the U.S. to sing the New York premiere of Norwegian composer Kim André Arnesen's Requiem on January 16 in Carnegie Hall. After months of preparation, the Chamber Singers were both exhilarated and humbled by the momentous experience of performing this Carnegie Hall concert premiere.

The Chamber Singers are excited to share this achievement with the community and to express their overwhelming gratitude to everyone who supported this fortunate endeavor. Come and enjoy a wonderful evening of joy and appreciation.
